On Thursday evening, July 6, 2023, a double-decker tour bus collided with a New York City MTA bus in Manhattan. The crash occurred on East 23rd Street and First Avenue in Kips Bay. The tour bus ran a red light and crashed into the back of the MTA bus. The impact blew out the windows of the tour bus.

NEW YORK - Many individuals were harmed in an accident including two transports in Manhattan on Thursday, FDNY authorities say.

It happened soon after 7:15 p.m. at East 23rd Road and First Road in Quite a while Straight.

There was a tangled wreck of metal and glass after an X38 MTA transport and a TopView Touring multi-level bus crashed.

"The effect felt like it was right around a quake. The entire transport was shaking and shaking," said Ishrak Jahan, who was on the eastward city transport. "I heard the woman close to me shout, so I gazed upward and I saw this transport barreling towards us ... I just saw glass wherever briefly. I, you know, it was similar to I was in a film. It required two or three seconds for me to snap back to reality when everybody began shouting. I saw blood.

Pillan and his family were on the visit transport as it headed up First Road.

Many individuals were tossed out of their seats. Harmed, a great deal of wounds. A great deal of elderly individuals harmed," he said.

A few travelers, such as Paulina Rychel, were hit by a rush of glass.

"I heard it before I felt it. I heard the blast and afterward, I felt it," she said.

Firemen had a test-taking individuals off the second deck of the visit transport and going through windows to take individuals out.

Fire authorities say 27 individuals have been taken to nearby clinics, including the visit transport driver, and around 50 others are being looked at.

MTA specialists say the visit transport was to blame in the mishap.

"This visit transport ... appeared to have blown a red light and Sideswiped our transport. Hit it quite, it was going so quick, we think," New York City Travel President Richard Davey said.

As per authorities, nobody experienced dangerous wounds, and the vast majority of the wounds included cuts, wounds, a few thought cracks, and a few head and neck wounds.

We as a whole are very lucky it was very little more terrible," Container said.

Travelers were feeling quite a bit better the wounds were not more serious.

Rachel thought she was bringing the protected way back home.

"It's insane because I'm generally similar to, goodness, the transport is so protected and I never take the tram because the transport is better. No doubt, it's insane," she said.

Police sources tell CBS New York the visit transport driver will be summonsed for purportedly running the red light.
